Iraqis Set US, UK, Israeli Flags on Fire

IQNA – Iraqi worshippers held protest rallies after Friday prayers, condemning the Israeli regime’s atrocities against the people of Gaza and Lebanon.

The rallies were held in different cities in central and southern Iraq on Friday, Ma’an news reported. 

The demonstrators denounced the Zionist regime’s crimes and the support for the regime from the United States and Britain.

They set the flags of the Israeli regime, the US and the UK on fire.

They also chanted slogans like “death to America”, “death to Israel” and “death to Britain”.

Najaf, Kut, Baghdad, Hilla, Samawa, an al-Qarraf were among the cities that hosted the rallies.

According to UN-verified data, the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which began over a year ago following a Hamas operation on October 7, has resulted in the martyrdom of over 43,600 Palestinians, the majority of whom were civilians.
